He's in trouble now. The Witch has convinced Barak Hussein Obama to write her a personal check to aid in the repayment of her campaign debts. It's not a lot of money but that the fact that he did it is troubling. Now that her fangs are in we'll all get to see what else she's going to extract between now and the convention. She looks less happy every day. Personally, I think she's planning something big but that's just my tin foil hat showing.

In other, much more important news the Supreme Court of the United States has said:

"In sum, we hold that the District's ban on handgun possession in the home violates
the Second Amendment as does its prohibition against rendering any lawful firearm
in the home operable for the purpose of immediate self-defense."

but in coming to this decision the Court states:

"The first salient feature of the operative clause is that it codifies a “right of the people.”
The unamended Constitution and the Bill of Rights use the phrase “right of the people”
two other times, in the First Amendment’s Assembly-and-Petition Clause and in
the Fourth Amendment’s Search-and-Seizure Clause. The Ninth Amendment uses very
similar terminology (“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall
not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”). All three of these
instances unambiguously refer to individual rights, not “collective” rights, or rights
that may be exercised only through participation in some corporate body."

So say we all.

Ding Dong the Witch is Broke!

That's right folks, Hillary Clinton is straight broke. According to here and here she's in the hole for $20 million. On the front page of her web site she appealed to her supporters to send in their cash like some evangelical trying to get a new wet bar built for the church fellowship hall. She's also asked your buddy and mine, Barack Hussein Obama, to foot some of her bill. If he's smart his answer to her will be "no." Quite possibly with the word "Hell" in front of it. If he's really smart he'll cut off all further dealings with her. Pundits say they have to work together to keep the Democratic Party strong and united and that may be the case. My fear for my friends across the aisle is that they're finally going to learn that with the Clintons it has always been about the Clintons and nothing more. The Democratic Party was nothing more than a means to and end.

George Carlin 1937-2008

Unfortunately I have to begin this blog with some sad news. George Carlin, an American icon, died yesterday of heart failure. I grew up listening to Carlin's records over at a friend's house in the the 80's which I guess makes me a sort of Johnny-come-lately to the phenomenon - which is what his career is. Carlin's career spanned over four decades and the material was always relevant which can't be said about a lot of people. He will be missed.

My mother and father always used to use this saying whenever my brother or I were about to do something extraordinarily stupid. It was a warning: "Go ahead and do it but you'll see the consequences." Sadly, it seems that not enough of us heard this while we were growing up as evident in our news which, of course, is what this is all about. I'm going to post my random musings here on a multitude of topics ranging from the mundane to the bizarre. Enjoy!
