The Cold War is over? My ass.

Vladimir 'The Impaler' Putin spoke today about Russia's need for 'offensive weapons" so that the United States cannot feel that it can do whatever it wants. I find this extremely interesting considering the ass kicking that Russian/Soviet technology has taken from American made weaponry in the last twenty years or so. They feel a strong need to 'go back to the drawing board', apparently. I like the whole 'show us your missile defense data and we'll show you our offensive weapons data' game he's trying to play. They've got nothin' and they know it so they hope to fool us with a move straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark: Throw me the idol, I'll throw you the whip.

Merry Christmas

Just want to express my wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you out there. I especially want to thank those good folks in the Armed Forces that are deployed throughout the world for their sacrifices during this Christmas season and beyond. Your work is appreciated more than you know. Merry Christmas and may you all come home safely and soon!!

If you weren't nervous before...

...you should be now. Especially if you live within range of this thing. Anybody want to take any bets as to how long it's going to be before Isreal steps up and start turning certain locations in Iran into small piles of debris and rubble?

Here's what we've got so far:

An apparently capable delivery system: see above.
The capability to produce enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon: here
Reports that Iran is working on the trigger for a nuclear weapon: here

Add Iran's rhetoric over turning Israel into a sheet of glass and what we have here is a country that is demonstrating that they are going to build nuclear weapons despite saying that they are not. In other words - They. Are. Lying.

This won't last....

Just wait until this bird gets off the ground. I guarantee that the Federal government will begin looking for ways to stifle this burgeoning industry. In no way will the Federal government allow itself to look bad when compared to private industry. It's the reason they're trying to push a health care takeover through Congress with as little debate as possible and it's the reason they'll crush this industry right about the time it becomes profitable. I think this is especially likely now that the Space Shuttle program is coming to an end and that the Obama administration has the Manned Flight budget hedge trimmers sharpened and ready to go.

Unabashed moonbat and everyone's favorite little Socialist Barbara Boxer has decided that the content of the leaked emails in the Climategate scandal is less important than how they were leaked. This explains a lot as well.
