As the Joker said in The Dark Knight , "And. Here. We. Go." This is what happens when a group of people with a political or ideological axe to grind begin funding science. I really can't fault the scientists for doing these because they have been bought and must now obey their masters. Everyone has a price.
If the people pushing these agendas succeed they all personally stand to make a lot of money and acquire a lot of political power. Don't forget it.

Three's company?
Here is the latest move in Iran's ongoing nuclear saga. See, they needed some sort of bargaining chip when it came time for the the Israeli or U.S. Air Force to waltz over there and begin pounding nuclear facilities into the dirt. The Iranaian government is nothing but a glorified street gang, ruling their turf with intimidation, fear, and brutality.
I also want to thank a Democrat. (Stand back for a hole might open up beneath me). I'd like to thank Ben Chandler, 6th District Congressman from Kentucky, for voting against the House version of the Health Care Reform Act. He listened to his consituents on this issue and he has done so in the past on others.

Here we go again...
Here is Russia's subtle hint that things are beginning to ramp back up in Georgia and that the shooting will start soon. The head of the GRU, who never talks to anybody publicly, has essentially issued the first of what I predict will be a number of increasingly accusatory statements about the Georgian government. It'll culminate a few months from now with another Russian general invasion of Georgia. Watch it coincide with the deepest part of winter so Russia can drive up the costs of petroleum and heating oil and blame the disruption of the pipeline, which just happens go through Georgia, on Georgian agression.

Wait....what?
How can this possibly be construed as a good idea? I don't care that they say that the purpose of the vessel is peacekeeping operations. The problem is this:
I guess they're a bit out of practice on being a team player since they were out of NATO for forty odd years.
"Burtsev also confirmed that Russia was planning to purchase one of the Mistral warships and to construct a further four warships under license.
"We plan to buy one Mistral-class ship in France, and with technical support from the French to build four helicopter carriers of this class under license," Burtsev told the news agency."
